FOUNDER | PSYCHOTHERAPIST

I never imagined creating my own wellness practice. But the universe had other intentions. Through a series of persistent—sometimes gentle, sometimes unmistakably harsh—nudges, it became clear that this creation wasn’t just an idea. It was a calling I simply couldn’t ignore. I set out to understand why so many of us—my clients, my loved ones, and even myself—could look “fine” on the outside while feeling completely unsteady on the inside.

Over my 17 years as a therapist, working everywhere from inpatient hospital floors to family living rooms, I sat with people who were trying their very best— parents in crisis, teenagers shut down from trauma, couples desperate to reconnect. No matter the story, one thing kept coming forward:

Trauma lives in the body.

And even when the mind “knows better,” the nervous system can stay stuck in fear, collapse, panic, or survival. I watched people blame themselves for their symptoms, not realizing those symptoms were actually signs of deep wisdom—protective responses that once helped them survive. I saw so much shame wrapped around the ways we cope. And honestly, I saw myself in those stories. The anxiety, the overthinking, the pressure to hold everything together—I knew that personally.

So I started leaning into a different approach.

One that didn’t ask people to “think” their way out of pain, but helped them feel safer inside their own bodies! One that treated the nervous system like a sacred little compass inside us. One that honored the spiritual side of healing — not as rigid rules, but as intuition, inner knowing, and the soft magic that connects us to something bigger.

Along the way, I found sound healing, somatic work, meditation, and honest-to-God stillness… which, as a therapist and a mom, is a radical act. I learned how the body remembers what the mind tries to forget — and how tuning in helps us finally feel safe and find peace again.

These practices didn’t just open new doors with clients. They helped me come back to myself—bit by bit, breath by breath.

White Light Wellness grew out of this realization:

Healing happens when the mind, body,

and spirit are invited to speak

—and finally feel heard.

My style is straightforward, compassionate, intuitive, and deeply human. I’m not here to “fix” anyone—I’m here to sit beside you as you understand your story, honor your nervous system, and reconnect to your inner wisdom.

I believe regulation is the foundation of everything—relationships, creativity, identity, joy. When the body feels safe, the heart can open. When the heart opens, connection follows. And connection, to self and others, is where healing lives.

If you’re drawn to this work, it’s probably because some part of you is tired of surviving.
You’re ready for something more grounded, more embodied, more… you.

I’d love to walk with you on the next step of your journey—toward peace, toward presence, and toward the calm that has always been inside you.

Warmly,
Kristen
